The mission of the chapter is to serve as a conduit to connect UCF Alumni in the Washington, D.C. area as well as providing a link back to the University of Central Florida. The Chapter accomplishes this by hosting various activities and by proudly representing UCF in the Washington, D.C. Area. The chapter will provide a voice and face of all UCF alumni in the Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia area.
Want to see more event photos? Check out our Facebook page. The DC Knights got all dressed up and partied down for The Virginia Gold Cup Races on May 5. The celebration began at Ballston Mall, where we all boarded our motor coaches for the Plains in Western Virginia. The weather was just right--not too hot or sunny and no rain. We had about 20 Knights come out, a turnout we hope will only grow each year! Ladies got out their best hats and gents broke out their bowties for the event. Two of our own even won awards for their attire! Bianca Sabrkani took home the award for best dressed for school colors/spirit and Christina Aiuto was the runner-up for the overall best dressed award. We're very proud of these ladies and recommend consulting them for all fashion advice from this point forward. If you missed it, keep an eye on our Facebook page for pictures! We hope you'll join us on Saturday, May 19 when we take a trip to the ballpark to the see the Nationals take on the Baltimore Orioles in DC.
